So far this has been a good year for owning stocks.
Especially technology stocks!
The S&P 500 is up 5% year to date, and the NASDAQ is up 11% during the same period. So if you’re like me, you are feeling pretty good right now.
However…you have to remember that September is notoriously a down month for the market. October can be pretty nasty as well.
This is the time to put together a shopping list, if you have the cash. If we experience a sell off, that would be the time to add to winners, or to buy companies you’ve been watching but whose price has been very high.
When the next sell off comes, don’t run and hide! Take action and buy at lower prices. If I can, that’s what I’ll be doing for sure.
