It’s Time In The Market, Not Timing The Market!

You can do all the research in the world.

You can study 10-K’s and financial statements until you’re blue in the face.

Invest in the absolute best companies winning today and tomorrow, and your success or failure will come down to one thing…

…your ability to control your emotions.

Yep, that’s right.

I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count the number of early investors I know personally that were dead right, but missed the entire move.  They missed it because:

  • they were too quick to take a profit, or;
  • they were scared into selling because of a correction or bear market, or;
  • they simply ran out of patience.

Emotional reactions, all.

And what they did cost them dearly.

They missed out on potential financial freedom for life because they reacted to something that was happening in the moment.

The psychology of investing, in my opinion is the most important trait to master.

Remember: it’s time in the market not timing the market.

Patience Pays

Good morning.

I’ve shared this graphic by Morgan Housel of The Motley Fool here before.  I’m featuring it again today because it is very relevant to the current market situation.

Hold on and be patient.  History demonstrates it will pay off.
