One of the people I follow on Twitter recently retweeted a tweet made by CNBC’S Jim Cramer, remarking, “Who says buy and hold doesn’t work?”
Cramer had tweeted a screen shot another user had taken of his brokerage account and tweeted.
This investor did not post this to brag or show off. He did it to show evidence that a “buy and hold” strategy can and does work over the long term.
He owned both Apple Computer (NASDAQ: AAPL) and Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) for years. His profits on both were over $500,000.
He tweeted that he ignores the negative headlines and short term sell-offs in the market, as well as in his holdings.
This man’s “buy and do nothing” style is exactly what I preach in my book, The Stock Market is For Everyone.
If you have not already done so, start buying and start holding!
My book, The Stock Market is For Everyone, is a short guide for the beginning, inexperienced investor that is easy to understand and can be put into action immediately.
