About a month ago, I was watching an episode of “Mad Money”, featuring Jim Cramer, on CNBC. For those of you that may be new to investing, “Mad Money” is an investment show that’s been on the air for nearly 15 years.
One of my favorite segments of the show is something called the Lightning Round. During the Lightning Round, people can call in with the hopes of getting on-air advice about a particular stock.
On this day, one of the callers didn’t call for advice – rather, she called to thank Jim. She said that she had been an avid listener for years and had followed his recommendations. And after years of investing – on a nurse’s salary – she was able to build a seven figure net worth.
Stories like this are my favorite! Why? Because they prove that buy and hold investing works.
My book, The Stock Market is For Everyone, is a short guide for the beginning, inexperienced investor that is easy to understand and can be put into action immediately.
